PLATTEVILLE — Marissa Wildeck of Weston has learned a lot about earthquakes and robots. She is a senior civil engineering major with emphases in structural and geotechnical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and in August completed a summer research experience for undergraduates through the George E. The next generation of female engineers and architects put their skills to the test Friday. The Bethlehem TECHgyrls visited the lab at Lehigh University. They’re part of an after-school program that aims to get girls excited about science, math and technology. After the TECHgyrls toured the lab, they got to conduct their own experiment using marshmallows and gumdrops.
